She was happy and emotional when I told her that I had curated this exhibition inspired on her creative hands and to pay tribute to all mothers. More surprised was she when I mentioned that I had used some of the pieces she sewed for my kids in an installation. Feeling grateful for having each other even though we are so far right now. She’s still living in Ecuador and I’m here in Asia. By the way, the exhibition has been extended until May 29th, 2014.
‘MI MADRE ESTUVO MUY FELIZ CUANDO LE INFORME AYER QUE HABIA CREADO ESTA EXPOSICION INSPIRADA EN SUS MANOS CREATIVAS Y PARA RENDIRLE HONOR A LA MATERNIDAD. MAS SORPRENDIDA ESTUVO CUANDO LE CONTE QUE HABIA USADO ALGUNA DE LA ROPA QUE ELLA COFECCIONO PARA MIS HIJOS EN UNA INSTALACION PARTE DE ESTA EXPOSICION. ME SIENTO BENDECIDA DE CONTAR CON ELLA AUNQUE ESTAMOS TAN LEJOS, ELLA EN ECUADOR Y YO AQUI EN ASIA. A PROPOSITO, LA EXPOSICION HA SIDO EXTENDIDA HASTA MAYO 29, 2014.
